Social media apps are known for being tough on content creators. If you post videos and photos that break the terms of service by being a little too naughty, you can get kicked off the app without even the chance to reply, losing all your friends or followers for good and having to start all over again.
But if you want to use the Instagram app to promote your more risque content, there is a good way to get around it – the pause game.

What is the Pause Game on Instagram?
The pause game allows creators to show off their naughty side without getting automatically kicked off their Instagram account.
It involves you posting a mostly work-safe video, but with a very short clip embedded in the middle that's NSFW. It might be as short as a single frame, depending on how difficult you want to make the game.
The idea is that users will use their finger to tap and hold on the reel to pause it, hopefully timing it right to stop it on the image long enough for them to enjoy the picture that's being held on the screen. Ideally, you want to make it a little tricky, so that the users have to loop through the video a few times in order to stop it.
The point is that you can boost your engagement on the Instagram app with more viewing time, which can make a real difference to how much you're exposed on the platform, and at the same time, you're encouraging users to see a naughty side of you. And you're doing it without Instagram catching you automatically for posting NSFW content.
If you can make it enticing enough, then users will want to use your profile link (such as ohh.me) within your bio to then find your OnlyFans or other fan page.
How to Make an Instagram Reel with a Naughty Clip
You can very quickly make Instagram reels that work for the pause game – all you need is the main video you're going to use, and then either the clip or photo that you want to be inserted.
You can even do it within Instagram itself – just open Instagram, pre-shoot the NSFW clip photo that you want to use, and then shoot your video in the Reels section of the app. Once done, add the NSFW clip in using the menu on the left. You can then use Edit Clips to cut it together as you want to.
If you want to get advanced, try timing the NSFW clip to a beat drop in the music you choose, but again make sure you're making it a bit of a challenge too. You want it to be engaging!
And that's it – the pause game is not a guarantee that you can get around Instagram's rules and you might still get videos or reels deleted, but it's a fun way to engage your fans.
